Rabbit

Rabbits are smaller and have burrows and are seldom ever seen very far away from one.

Young Rabbit. Smaller, with greyish brown (occasionally black) coat. Shorter ears with no black.
Brown Hare

Hares don’t have burrows. They spend the day crouched down in shallow scrapes called ‘forms’. They’re easier to see towards dusk when they start feeding.
